About us
Big Island Stables, provides a inviting environment for horses and their owners alike. We are conveniently located minutes from Sherwood Park, just east of Highway 21, with easy access from the Whitemud Freeway and Anthony Henday Drive. Our competitively priced facility includes numerous outdoor pastures, a heated 10 stall barn, both indoor and outdoor riding arenas and groomed trails amongst our 40 acre lot.
Our Facility
Multidiscipline boarding facility focused on the casual rider. Enjoy your horse in a non-competitive environment. Enjoy our heated indoor arena and barn, large outdoor arena, on site trails, and hot water wash bay!

Indoor Stall with turnout -$880.00 plus GST
Group Pasture - $545.00 plus GST
Private Pen - $685.00 plus GST
Shared/Semi Private pen - $610.00 plus GST

Big Island Stables is a family owned and operated horse boarding facility located minutes from Sherwood Park. The Ostrem family purchased the stable in 2017 and have been continuously working on improvements. The barn, the arenas, and the pastures have undergone many changes to create a more safe and friendly environment for all patrons and their horses.
